These frosty Perth mornings are made for tinkering in the studio. The world is quiet, apart from the honey-eaters and rainbow lorikeets outside my studio door, demolishing the last of the figs.
I set up my workspace ready for paint making, then comes the hardest part, choosing what colour to make! I browse my assorted rocks and pigment bottles, finally making my choice. Some chipping, grinding, mixing and then..
Magic is made! It’s still such a surprise what color(s) I’ll end up with. Even as the paint is laid down, the colors can swirl and change. Once it’s dried, it can be completely different again.
If you’ve always wanted to make your own watercolor paints, I have a whole module covering everything I know in my upcoming online course - Watercolor Confidence. For anyone who signs up to my waiting list there will be a bonus discount when registrations open. Click HERE to join my Waiting list.
Have a creative week!
Cheers,
Cindy
